Bollywood What's Happenin'

The House of Humshakals make you laugh all over again!

The cast of Sajid Khan’s upcoming Hindi film ‘Humshakals’ kicked off promotions for their movie with a highly amusing and entertaining press conference organized recently. Actors Saif Ali Khan, Ram Kapoor, Riteish Deshmukh, Chunky Pandey,Tamannaah Bhatia, Esha Gupta, director Sajid Khan, producer Vashu Bhagnani among others were seen bringing the house down with their witty repartees, answers and interaction with the media.

The fun filled evening was full of interesting questions that had everyone in splits. Actors Saif and Riteish kept entertaining those present with their witty exchanges. On being asked who he would like to be a Humshakal of in real life, Saif said Madhuri Dixit. Riteish retorted almost immediately saying – he would then love to be Dr. Nene! Wouldn’t we all like to be him though? I don’t blame him! Madhuri is pretty hot!

Speaking about the unique act of playing a woman, Actor Ram Kapoor said he had to romance himself which was a different experience, and Riteish quipped- without missing a beat , ‘Isse kehte hai Khud Khushi’. Saif had much to say about donning a swimming costume in his female avatar and about how he liked Riteish as a co-star better than any of the actresses.

Sajid Khan, at the helm of it all, was also refreshingly honest when he admitted that he had erred and was unnecessarily arrogant during his previous outing as a filmmaker, and now that he is back in his comfort zone of doing family comedies, he is a much wiser and stable person and filmmaker.

The makers of the film also showed three unreleased songs from the film, which are scheduled to hit the airwaves in the next few weeks: Barbaad Raat featuring Riteish, Saif, Bipasha and Tamannah , Hum Paagal Nahin featured the duo of Saif and Riteish doing the craziest antics in a mental asylum along with the inimitable Satish Shah as its jailer, and Khol De Dil Li Khidki , featuring Saif, Riteish, Ram chasing their female versions, seen in a hilarious song sequence that brought the house down, and asked for an encore.

The movie assures ‘Nine times the Fun’ for the audiences and indeed the press conference has kept up to that promise.
