The most vibrant and colorful part of American Idol 2013 was not Nicki Minaj’s exuberant persona, Ran Seacrest’s charm or the magical idol stage; it was a Turban. A Turban that so intelligently and beautifully complimented the individual crowning it. For the first time in the history of the show a Sikh contestant competed against some of the nation’s best in terms of showcasing their singing and performing talent. Gurpreet Singh Sarin was one of over 100,000 people that auditioned this year to take the title of American Idol home.
