Vandana Vishwas Announces World Premiere of Her New Album 'Monologues'

Mississauga, ON based World Music artist Vandana Vishwas has announced the World Premiere date for her sophomore music album ‘Monologues’. Vandana is a leading exponent of south Asian music in North America and winner of Mississauga Arts council’s Marty 2012 award and US Indies Vox-Pop 2011 award for World Music.

 

The new album, titled ‘Monologues‘, is a departure from Vandana‘s debut album, which was a musical story of legendary Indian poet Meera Bai. The new album is composed and arranged with traditional elements from Indian classical music. The new album is a collection of Ghazals, Nazms and a couple of light Thumris, composed and arranged with a few western influences, although still rooted in Indian classical music.
