Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, the movie that gives a sense of nostalgia to many Indians across the globe, celebrates 11 years since its release at the box office. The film continues to be showcased almost every weekend on television and remains the highest grosser of TRP’s. Released on the 14th of December 2001, the film enthralled the audiences worldwide with flawless performances and a very strong message – ‘It’s all about loving your parents’.
Karan Johar managed to get the dream star cast together on the silver screen. It was no surprise to see the family drama receiving fifteen nominations at the Filmfare Awards. Written and directed by Karan Johar, Dharma Productions’ Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham recently screened at the International Film Festival of Marrakech as a tribute to 100 glorious years of Indian cinema.
Reflecting on 11 years since it’s release, Karan Johar tweeted, “11 years to #K3G……can’t believe its been that long….memories and moments on set are indelible…..”.
