Music What's Happenin'

Ali Abbas and AV pay tribute to the late Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan

After the huge success of Ali Abbas‘ single “Ranja Sade Vedhe,” he is back and ready to release his tribute to the late Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan entitled “Nit Khair Manga.” This project marks the 15 year anniversary of the legend’s death.

Keeping true to the sound, producer AV has given the Qawali a modern sound by fusing today’s beats with the Sufi element. AV has produced music for some of the biggest labels in the game, including Universal, Tips Music, and Cash Money Records.

Ali Abbas, who hails from East London, began singing at a young age and was inspired by Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. He wowed the judges on Brit Asia Superstar by singing his own written and composed work in multiple rounds and by bringing a unique style to the competition.

Ali promises the fans will love his new single:

“It was an honour for me to cover one Khan Saheb’s classic Qawalis. I have learnt so much just by listening to his music over the years and this track is my way of saying thank you to him. Credit has to go to AV for production because we had to complete this project in a very short space of time. I hope everyone enjoys it.”

“Nit Khair Manga” is out now! Check out the teaser, below, and let us know what you think!
