The famous museum has been attracting Bollywood fans with its ever growing Bollywood zone, which already houses stars like Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Madhuri Dixt-Nene, Aishwariya Rai Bachchan, Kareena Kapoor, Hrithik Roshan, and Salman Khan. Rumor has it that the museum approached Sridevi recently to join their star cast and she was completely overwhelmed! The actress happily took up the historic museum on their invite.

Sridevi

Acting since the age of 4 and debuting as an adult later in the 1970’s, Sridevi was a born actress perfectly made for the screen.  Her sweet voice, expressive eyes, beautiful smile and sugar-coated charm captured the audience instantly.  Sridevi has acted in movies in Tamil, Telegu, Malayalam, and Kannada since her teen years.  In 1975, she finally debuted in her first Hindi film, Julie where she played the younger sister of actress Lakshmi.  It wasn’t until 1979 that Sridevi roped in a role as an adult actress in the movie Solva Sawan, a remake of her own 1977 film from the South, 16 Vaythinile.  Though Solva Sawan didn’t gain much popularity, Sridevi’s next film, Himmatwala, which released in 1983, was a big hit.  Since then the actress has seen a successful journey of hit films, many award nominations and wins!

Sridevi

Sridevi’s movie Judaai in 1997 was her last big release, besides a few special appearances and  performances in television shows and award shows the actress has been enjoying life with her family for the past 15 years.  Now, Sridevi is all set for a comeback in 2012!  The legendary actress will be starring in an exciting new film directed by debutante director Gauri Shinde, and produced by Shinde’s husband, R. Balki.  The movie, titled English Vinglish, is about an Indian housewife who enrolls in English language classes for her husband and children.

Hopefully, you’ll be able to catch Sridevi’s performance in English Vinglish and visit her soon at the London Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum!
