Catch Prita Chhabra and Jus Reign at TIGERFEST 2012

We’ve been following the activities at the annual TIGERFEST charity wrestling exhibition and free concert in Canada, since it began in 2010.  Last year, the event featured hot performances by RDB and Nindy Kaur, and the amazing Prita Chhabra!  Fans will be happy to hear that this year, Prita will be back again to rock the TIGERFEST stage!  In addition to Prita, will be comedian Jus Reign and many more performing live at TIGERFEST 2012!

TIGERFEST will take place at the Brampton Powerade Centre on Sunday, July 1st. Scotiabank, Royalpark, Best Buy Mobile and TigersChallenge.ca will be the presenting sponsors for this exciting family event.

TIGERFEST, previously held at Chinguacousy Park, has been proven to attract a diverse audience and it is hoped the event will appeal to, and serve, Brampton’s wide varieties of cultures and communities.

Says Mayor Fennell of the event:

“TigerFest is a significant charity event in our City, and I am proud to see it as part of our exciting Canada Day celebrations on Sunday, July 1, 2012.”

It’s no secret that the wholesome family entertainment that professional wrestling provides is experiencing an all time high in popularity around the world.  So with this in mind, TIGERFEST has utilized the popularity of professional wrestling, the marketability of wrestling legend Tiger Jeet Singh and his son former WWE superstar Tiger Ali Singh to promote Canada’s only free wrestling extravaganza in support of a number of charities.

Tiger Jr., President of the Tiger Jeet Singh Foundation, explains further:

“We are absolutely delighted to partner with Mayor Susan Fennell and the City to host this year’s TIGERFEST in Brampton. The primary objective of TIGERFEST is to promote our youth to stay away from drugs by leading an active & healthy lifestyle and promoting unity among our diverse cultures. We look forward to meeting the community and moving the Tiger Jeet Singh Foundation another step closer to achieving its objectives.”

TIGERFEST 2012 will feature a concert hosted by YouTube sensation Jus Reign, which will feature performances by Prita Chhabra, “Canada’s Got Talent” contestants Dhol Circle, House of Bhangra, and Lebanese-Canadian chart topping pop star Kristina Maria.

This is the first time two of Canada’s favorite South Asian stars, Jus Reign and Prita Chhabra, will be featured together at a concert. Canadian fans may remember, Jus Reign made an acting cameo in Prita’s hit music video “Roots” – which also featured a surprise cameo by Tiger Ali Singh!

3:30 PM is Bell Time at TIGERFEST.  The event will culminate in a two hour exhibition of live professional wrestling with living legend Tiger Jeet Singh making a special guest appearance, and his son former WWE superstar Tiger Ali Singh wrestling in the main event. The blockbuster line up will also include former WWE Superstars Tatanka, Bushwhacker Luke, Viscera (Big Daddy V), Steve Corino, Darkko, TNA superstar Sanjay Dutt, and Japan’s Hall of Fame Referee Mr. Takahashi.

The audience will also be treated to a one on one meet and greet with the Tigers and the other Superstars upon the conclusion of the event to sign autographs on specially designed TIGERFEST t-shirts, produced by Desi Wear.

  • The event is free to watch however a minimum donation is required for the limited preferred ring side seating: $10 in advance and $15 at the gate.
