Fox announced yesterday that it has picked up everyone’s favorite desi comedienne’s new pilot, It’s Messy. Written, produced, and starring Mindy Kaling, of The Office fame, the sitcom will chronicle the trials and tribulations of a young physician attempting to handle her career and personal life.
Kaling will depart from her role as Kelly Kapoor and writer for The Office; however, old friend and co-star BJ Novak will serve as an executive producer on her new sitcom. Soon-to-be former co-star Ed Helms is reported to guest star as well. Although, Kaling is best known for her role on The Office, her memoir “Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me?” was a New York Times Best-Seller last year.
