Mela launches First Day First show and releases Charuahen/Crossroads!

Mela officially announced the launch of First Day First Show, an initiative releasing new films in international markets on their service simultaneous to their theatrical release in India. Now, fans of Bollywood will be able to enjoy some of latest movies from South Asia, no matter where in the world they are located!

The launch coincides with the release of Rajshree Ojha’s award winning Chaurahen|Crossroads, starring Soha Ali Khan, Zeenat Aman, and Kiera Chaplin, the film will release on all of Mela’s platforms on the same day it is released in theaters by local distributor Priya Village Roadshow (PVR).

 

As the very first major online South Asian movie service to launch such an initiative, Mela is optimistic that First Day First Show will be a monumental step in Mela’s mission to fight piracy, provide audiences with a compelling legal alternative to entertainment that was previously unavailable to them, and at the same time allow content owners to be able to monetize their content on a worldwide basis from day one!
