The final tally is in from Prita Chhabra’s recent fundraising campaign for the Stephen Lewis Foundation… and the news is good!
Prita beat her fundraising goal three times in two weeks, raising a total of $1646.44 through a “Dare” for the Stephen Lewis Foundation – a flashback to her first job working in entertainment at Disney World in Orlando (Florida)!
Prita dressed up as a costumed character (Minnie Mouse) in downtown Toronto at Yonge-Dundas Square, to raise money going directly to support the inspiring transformation in sub-Saharan Africa, where community-based organizations are working to turn the tide of AIDS.
Donations made will make a huge difference to the incredible African women and men who rise to meet the challenges of the pandemic with extraordinary acts of courage, ingenuity, determination, and strength in their communities.
On her AIDS research trip to Malawi (Africa), Prita saw first hand what challenges they face and how truly deserving all these people are.
