From London, Paris, New York – Aditi Rao Hyderi

The movie “London Paris New York” has been generating a lot of buzz, especially for it’s two leading actors Ali Zafar and Aditi Rao Hyderi.  A couple days ago, we shared with you an interview on the male lead – Ali Zafar.  Now, we’re proud to bring you an interview with the female lead – Aditi Rao Hyderi.

Aditi made her acting debut in 2006 with the Tamil movie, “Sringaram,” that garnered 3 total National Film Awards.  Since then, she has made a successful transition to Hindi cinema with films such as “Delhi 6”, “Yeh Saali Zindagi”, and “Rockstar.”  “London, Paris, New York” is her latest movie.  Read on to read her thoughts on this new movie.

Q: Tell us what’s special about London Paris New York?

It’s the way in which the story has been told.

Q: What was it like working with Ali Zafar?

Ali is very cute! I have always been an Ali Zafar fan. When I met him, I found him way cooler than I thought he was. It was great fun working with someone as philosophical, sorted, and at the same time as naughty as Ali.

Q: Did you have any voice training for your singing debut in the film with the track ‘Woh Dekhne Main’?

As a music director, Ali is a task master. Frankly, I used to get scared of him. He used to constantly remind me to practice my song. In case he thought I was slacking, he used to ask me to come on Skype to rehearse!  He’s a chilled out actor, but as a music director he is completely the opposite, very stern and slightly serious.

Q: Do you enjoy singing?

I don’t like talking about my love for singing. Once I started humming when Ali [Zafar] and producer Goldie [Behl] were talking about a few songs, and they said, ‘Hey, you can sing!’. They convinced me to sing two tracks for the movie – a beautiful love song and a naughty one. Ali, who composed the music and even sang for the film, created a song especially for me.
