January 6th marked not only the official release of the CD soundtrack to the highly anticipated romantic musical EK DEEWANA THA, but also the birthday of its Oscar and Grammy-winning composer, A.R. Rahman.
The music was officially launched on December 21, 2011, against the backdrop of the magnificent Taj Mahal receiving rave reviews from music critics and fans alike and is now available in stores. The legendary Javed Akhtar has penned the lyrics and the film releases in theaters on February 17.
Rahman’s new song “Hosanna” has already become a chart-topping smash in India; it is especially soaring with the younger generation. The video which introduces audiences to the love story of Jessie and Sachin has premiered starring Prateik and Amy Jackson. Watch it at:
