You’ve heard the original, now this New Year’s get ready to dance to the ‘Kolaveri Di – Party Mix’ brought to you by UK-based music producers Bups Saggu and singer Jati Cheed.
Bupps Saggu has worked his magic once more by fusing traditional Bhangra music with the original ‘Kolaveri Di’ version, which was produced by Anirudh Ravichander, to create a party favourite track, which has already hit radio stations across the UK, Canada, India and Dubai.
This is the first remix which features Dhanush’s original vocals alongside UK-based singer Jati Cheed to create an interesting blend of Tanglish and Punjabi.
Bupps Saggu said: “It was a spontaneous idea. I was listening to the song and I loved it, but I could also imagine a version with a Punjabi twist. Jati and I wrote and recorded the song as well as the video within three days.”
The video showcases the comical personalities and strong friendship between Bups Saggu and Jati Cheed. When asked about the shoot, Jati Cheed said: “Recording the song and shooting the video was a very organic experience, it was natural, and I think the video really shows that.”
‘Kolaveri Di – Party Mix’ is getting worldwide attention. The video was recently featured on the India Film Industry’s Official site, Business of Cinema, and has had over 21,200 views in just a single day.
