Desi stars feature on the Elle Hot 100 list

Ever since Slumdog Millionare stole the hearts of non-Indian audiences around the world, Indians have been slowly gaining recognition in the West.

Most recently, in this month’s December issue of Elle, a few of our fellow desis have made the Hot 100 list. The magazine writes, “Frieda Pinto, Poorna Jagannathan, Samrat Chakrabarti and Ajay Naidu, all actors, continue to impress with plum projects. In music, the hip hop group Das Racist…won much acclaim for their album, Relax.”
