Saqib Saleem didn’t want to make 'Fraaands' with his father’s business

Saqib Saleem, the lead from “Mujhse Fraandship Karoge,” has quite the story to tell of his acting career.

Saleem’s  father runs a successful restaurant business called Sallel’s with almost 14 outlets! Never the studious type, the Delhi resident helped his father run the family business for almost 8 months before he realized his dream of acting. Lucky for him Papa Saleem was supportive and told him to take a year off and give acting a serious chance.

Soon Saleem came to Mumbai from Delhi and auditioned with YRF for about 6 months while managing to do a few ads with Pepsi, Tata Docomo, KFC, Sprite and Bar One. He was so driven by his new-found passion for acting that he told his dad one day while driving by the YRF office that his first movie would be a Yash Raj film for sure! Looks like his dream came true! Ironically he plays a foodie in the film!
