The dashing dimpled Deol, Abhay will be honored this year as the featured celebrity at Toronto’s Masala! Mehndi! Masti! a three day held at the Harbourfronte center celebrating South Asian culture.
Fresh off of the success of his latest movie, “Zindagi na milegi dobara” Abhay Deol is a hot fresh face from the legendary Deol family leaving his mark on the Bollywood Industry. He started his career with Ayesha Takia in the much loved sweet love story “Socha na tha” in 2005. He was even nominated for best debut male actor for “Socha na tha.” Next came “Ahista Ahista” followed by the box office hit “Honeymoon Travels Ptv. Ltd.” in 2007.
In 2007 he also released “Ek Chalis Ki Last Local” and “Manorma Six Feet Under.” Abhay’s film “Manorma Six Feet Under” even won best film at the Mahindra Indo-American Arts Council Film Festival, then he went on to win the best actor award for the same film. In2008 his movie “Oye Lucky, Lucky Oye” won most popular film and later his Devdas inspired role in “Dev D” won great reviews as well!
His later releases include fan favorites,”Roads,” “Aisha,” and “Zindagi na milegi dobara!” The talented cutie is even producing movies now as well!
Toronto is super excited to have this cutie in their midst, no only will he be available for a meet and greet but there’s also a compilation of his movies! Fans can view “Dev D,” “Honeymoon Travles pvt. ltd.,” “Oye lucky, lucky oye,” “Manorma six feet under” and “Ek chalis ki last local.”
