Bollywood What's Happenin'

Sony PlayStation to Partner with Bollywood for 'Ra.One: The Game'

That’s right people! Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) and the Bollywood blockbuster franchise have both decided to partner up to produce a PlayStation game on the upcoming movie ‘Ra.One,’ featuring Shah Rukh Khan.

Atindriya Bose, Country Manager of PlayStation stated, “We have always wanted to bring Bollywood IPs on PlayStation platform as the way of connecting to Indian audience. Ra.One has the right mix of action, environment and imagination that is required to make a good PlayStation game, and with Shah Rukh Khan’s immense passion and understanding of PlayStation games, we have chanced upon a very unique opportunity of a great game with Indian IP.”

For all of you SRK fans, the game storyline itself has been developed by yours truly in order to have a perfect connection between the game and the movie. The characters in the film have been made nearly identical in the game, which also includes actual voice-overs from SRK.

This most anticipated videogame, ‘Ra.One: The Game,’ will be released in the Indian market on September 11, 2011, slightly before the release of ‘Ra.One,’ on Diwali. It will act as a way of introducing the film, it’s main characters, and their superpowers. Players will have the opportunity to play as the main characters of the film, G.One and Ra.One, although the game will have a few other key characters.

This is one game that everyone will have to check out! 😉
