Arjun’s drops "Vampire!"

Rising British Asian singer/songwriter/producer Arjun returns with a dark follow up to the immensely popular Stargazer.’ ‘Vampire’ is a slice of contemporary Pop/R’n’B which is dressed in Arjun’s increasingly smooth swagger and is sure to be a club hit this summer.

Watch ‘Stargazer’ here:

Vampire is co-produced by Arjun and close friend & collaborator Nayaab. The track features upcoming British MC Starz, who has recently been tipped by influential urban media outlets such as SBTV and Link Up TV. The video was shot in central London, and was given the royal treatment, taking place in the same location as Oscar winning film ‘The Kings Speech” and directed by acclaimed British director Ben Peters, who has worked with some of the biggest names on the UK Urban scene such as N-Dubz, Skepta & Wiley.

Arjun says: “After releasing a Dance-Pop track (Remember Tonight) and a laid-back, guitar-driven track (Stargazer) I thought it was time to bring out a track that shows my darker, edgier, Urban side. I felt it was important to show that I’m not a one-trick pony: I am stylistically versatile and thus able to span several genres with my music. I’m really happy with the video, and want to thank all the fans for the support they’ve shown ‘Vampire’ so far.”

‘Vampire’ follows up from Arjun’s Spring release ‘Stargazer’ which significantly enhanced his profile as one of the UK’s most talented young singer/songwriters. The track was widely welcomed by radio stations nationwide and peaked at #26 on the Official Asian Download Chart, as well as fairing well on other charts due to a high demand of requests and fan votes, proving a genuine and rapidly growing fan-base for the rising star. Arjun had previously been tipped as one of the ones to watch in the British Asian scene in the national newspaper The Independent, on the back of his debut release ‘Remember Tonight’.

In addition to Arjun’s success with ‘Stargazer’ and ‘Remember Tonight’, he has continued to work in the studio as a producer and recently produced the entire album ‘The Bhajan Project’, which was signed and released by Sony Music India, charting in the Top 10 of the UK’s World Music charts. Arjun has also just completed production work for the SLPL, the Sri Lankan equivalent of the lucrative Indian Premier League (IPL) Twenty20 cricket tournament, along with albums/singles for numerous artists across Asia and the UK.

‘Vampire’ has gained over 10,000 hits on YouTube in just over 48 hours and the release will put Arjun firmly back in the spotlight, with a schedule of performances in the UK and abroad throughout July and the rest of the summer.
