It looks like Florida just can’t get enough of Prita Chhabra! Next week Prita will become the first solo recording artist of South Asian heritage to perform at the Florida Music Festival, since its founding in 2001. The festival takes place from April 7-9th. This is a huge deal for the desi community since the Florida Music Festival concert series and conference was named “one of the top 25 music festivals in the Southeast US.” Prita’s performance will take place at 8:00 PM on Thursday, April 7 at Tastings (111 East Washington Street, Orlando).
Prita is also counting down the days to the release of her debut music video. This much anticipated video releases on May 1st to coincide with the start of ‘South Asian Heriage Month’ in Canada. Prita’s gaining momentum in Florida. In fact, her recent tour dates across Florida have included singing the US anthem for the Orlando Magic at their new Amway Center and performing for over 10,000 fans at the 8th annual Palm Beach Indiafest.
Prita’s appearance at the 10th annual Florida Music Festival on April 7th is presented by Florida-based Taj Blue Media, who are also presenting Bollywood superstar Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, nephew of legendary singer Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, on April 8th at Silver Spurs Arena in Orlando.
