Recently, Urban Asian brought to you news of a new rapper who goes by the name of One Shot from Montreal, Quebec. He released his new single “Popular Demand” from his highly-anticipated mixtape “True Colors”, which is set to release on April 8th, 2011 and will be available as a FREE download from his fanpage.
“Popular Demand” is about One Shot’s accomplishments in Montreal’s underground rap scene . A stellar video directed by Montreal director Justin Agustin, the video was shot with the idea that he would be the only focus of the video because all eyes are on him and people only want him, hence why he is back by “Popular Demand”.
Shot was born in Pakistan and raised in Montreal, his unique style and versatility are bound to draw you in. Both his songwriting and beat choice has been primarily influenced by Hip-Hop, R&B, Rock and Desi music. Now, he is unstoppable and only one step away from proving to the world that dreams do come true.
Beyond the new single and mixtape, One Shot is working on a new album scheduled to be released in late 2011. The yet-to-be-titled LP will be available via iTunes and his website. All he needs is one shot to prove that he’s not only the best new rapper in Montreal, but we think he may be the best new rapper, period.
