Prita Chhabra’s Roots Music Video to Screen at AAINA Arts Festival (Seattle)

Prita Chhabra has definitely been on a high following the world premiere of her debut music video “Roots” at Tampa’s 2nd annual India International Film Festival last month.  Since then, her celebrity has been gaining momentum as the video has been recognized at other film festivals as well.  Most recently, the video has been selected as part of the official opening night screenings at the 6th AAINA arts festival – celebrating the artistic work of and about South Asian women.

AAINA, which in Urdu means ‘mirror’, focuses on and celebrates the artistic work of and about South Asian women.  As such, the festival aims to reflect the uniqueness of each South Asian woman.  In addition, to the screening of Prita’s video, this year’s festival includes film, visual and performance art, speakers, and conversations aimed at highlighting issues relevant to South Asian women.

If you’re in Seattle, Washington, do check out AAINA!  The festival will be held March 25-27 at the Seattle Asian Arts Museum. For more info on AAINA visit:
