After making a mark on the global South Asian music industry with the launch of breakthrough artist Imran Khan, No Limit Productionz is ready to present many more incredibly talented and unique artists. Ash Kavia of No Limit Productionz and Saif Rahman have launched SoundBox Records. SoundBox Records is a new creative platform for rising stars that was launched with a vision to build a global platform representing singers across the South Asian market.
Their first launch is mainstream artist Jaya, the newest signing to No Limit Productionz courtesy of UBC Global Entertainment. Jaya was first launched in 2010 with her catchy single “DJ Do It Again,” and toured with N-Dubz, Tinie Tempah, Mz Bratt, Esmee Denters and Peter Andre. Although the drop of her hotly awaited second single, “Outta Control,” took a while, Jaya is back with some new music and says she has a more focused approach to her sound.
This track also introduces rising star Mickey Singh. Singh, a Michigan native, is on this remix in conjunction with Remember the Name (USA). The end result of this collaboration is the release of the official “SAIF remix,” the Urb-Asian version to Jaya’s single “Outta Control.” The original track sees a more mainstream production style that is without traditional South Asian musical instrumentation, but definitely reflects a sound that today’s young South Asian audiences can associate with. Add in Mickey Singh’s tri-lingual talent and amazing vocals to the remix, and you have only a hint of what is to come.
The original version of “Outta Control” features Young Simmons (Jojo Simmons) son of Rev Run (of Run-DMC fame) in addition to top 5 selling artist Wretch 32, and was co-written by Jaya and acclaimed British producer Anthony Marshall.
