Akshay Kumar apologizes to Kolkata

This weekend Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif could not visit Kolkata due to a security breach that could have put the actors in danger.

Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif were expected in Kolkota today to promote their new movie “Tees Maar Khan,” which releases Christmas Eve. According to Akshay Kumar there was a security breach which kept the actors from meeting fans in Kolkota and they went back home. Kumar apologized to all of his loving fans in Kolkota via twitter.

Dear Kolkata…

I completely understand all ur frustrations guys & I am very sorry for
what has happened. I am just as upset as u are. It was me that flew late
last nite all the way to Kolkata to see u all, but i need u to understand
that when there is a security breach I have no authority to argue with
these guys. I was a guest in ur
city, I can’t disrespect ur rules!I couldn’t allow either Katrina or
myself to be banned from ur beautiful city! There were major security
issues & I couldn’t put my fellow colleagues in that kind of danger. We
ended up being escorted straight to the airport feeling extremely sad
about the days events.
Please understand the predicament I was in. My Full apologies.

Love & prayers,
Akshay Kumar

Don’t worry Akshay! We’re sure Kolkata will forgive you! Who can stay mad at a face like that? and after such a sweet apology!

The Farah Khan creation is expected to be another hit for the Kumar and Kaif duo. Kumar said “We have done many films together. And those films have done very well at the box office. Hope this film will also do well,” at a press conference in Kolkata.

He also praised Kaif for all her hard work.

“Six-seven years ago she came from London to Bollywood. She couldn’t speak a single word of Hindi. But it’s really a big achievement that this girl has today attained such a huge success in this industry,” said Kumar.  “‘All this is because of the love and affection you have given to her. Hats off to her success in Bollywood”

“Tees Maar Khan” should be an interesting new movie, and will most likely play up the great comedic chemistry that Kaif and Kumar have. Hopefully the match up of this duo doesn’t burn out because Akshay’s past films have all been fun to watch but nothing that showcases his versatility as an actor. Maybe too much comedy isn’t so funny?

Are you going to watch “Tees Maar Khan?”
