Freida Pinto was featured in Black Book Magazine this week along with a gallery of gorgeous snaps from their vintage themed photoshoot. Pinto Bean has been working hard to build her career and reputation as an actress. Along with her many Ad campaigns, Pinto just debuted two new movies in Toronto and is currently working on two more movies. She barely gets to spend time at her home in Mumbai with her parents!

Pinto just released two new movies at the festival in Toronto, Miral and You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger. In Julian Schnabel’s Miral, Pinto plays the lead role as Miral. In Woody Allen’s You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger, Pinto is the exotic object of Josh Brolin’s extramarital desire.
Pinto has also been traveling a lot for her next movie, a Planet of the Apes prequel, Rise of the Apes. Currently the were just shooting in Vancouver. She’s also just finished shooting Tarsem Singh’s Immortals in Montreal. Pinto is continuously working to hold up her fans expectations and position herself to be the next global star. She was afraid people would think she was a one-hit-wonder or criticize her work because it would be impossible to pull off another ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ type success.
“When your first film happens to be such a big success, there’s going to be pressure and expectations, and people are going to dissect you in a way that’s almost uncomfortable,” Pinto told Black Book Magazine. “I was worried people might dismiss me as someone who had 20 minutes in a film and now considers herself a big star. But it’s like, my god, I never asked for this.”
