Feature Name: The Girl On The Train
Cast: Parineeti Chopra, Aditi Rao Haydri, Kiriti Kulhari
Directed By: Ribhu Dasgupta
Run Time: 1h 52m
The film is the official Bollywood adaptation of the 2015 novel of the same name by author Paula Hawkins. In 2016, a Hollywood version starring Emily Blunt was released.

The Hollywood flick was a Tate Taylor directorial and was produced by Amblin Partners, DreamWorks, Marc Platt Productions and Reliance Entertainment.
While Parineeti Chopra plays Mira Kapoor (the Hollywood version saw Emily Blunt playing Rachel) and Aditi plays Nusrat (the original had Haley Bennett as Megan).
As per the original story, Mira suffers from amnesia and is an alcoholic. Post an unfortunate incident, Nusrat (Aditi) gets murdered and the evidence points towards Mira. The only way out for Mira is that she needs to remember what transpired on that fateful night.
The director has done the amazing work in providing us a thrilling experience, which is a lot different from the original movie adaptation. It is beautifully made keeping in mind of the Indian audience. While the Emily Blunt version was transplanted to New York, Dasgupta chose to keep his version true to the book and set the story in London.
Every character and every scene in the film is utter important so don’t forget to miss even a single part of it. The interesting plot twist in the end will make you truly surprise.
Talking about the performances, Parineeti Chopra being a total revelation. She does justice to her layered, messed up character and evokes sympathy in spite of depicting an enormously flawed role. Other actors like Aditi Rao Haydri, Kiriti Kulhari lend valuable support as well. Also, Avinash Tiwary has done an incredible job, he was the perfect casting done for the role.
We with all our heart give the film 3.5 starts. One should enjoy their weekend watching this crime suspense thriller.
