‘Silence 2: The Night Owl Bar Shootout’, directed by Aban Bharucha Deohans and starring Manoj Bajpayee and Prachi Desai, is a quirky suspense film following the NIA’s investigation into the Night Owl Bar shootout. 

Although the film deals with an interesting story, the writing and direction is quite slow, and makes the audience want to skip over some of the dialogue. While the main story is playing out, there are side characters that will eventually make their way into the story, but initially are confusing to the audience. 

Manoj Bajpayee is the standout performance in the film, as he plays the character of NIA officer ACP Verma, a man dealing with his own personal issues while trying to solve the shootout case. His nuanced acting brings a level of complexity to his character, and he nails the angry, mysterious police officer role. 

Prachi Desai returns back on screen after a brief hiatus, and although her performance is well done, her role doesn’t allow for much scope. As an audience, we don’t see much of her character’s backstory, or personality.
