The story of the movie revolves around the life of Maleficent and Princess Aurora. When a prince comes and proposes Aurora for marriage, she is on cloud 9 and says yes. When Maleficent gets to knows about this, she gets furious and asks Aurora to deny the proposal. Aurora makes her understand how good the Prince is and she agrees for a dinner with Prince’s family. At the dinner, the Prince’s mom creates a fuss and Maleficent gets angrier and hence a war takes place.
When we talk about the looks of the movie, it looks exactly like how a Disney Princess movie should be. Angelina Jolie as Maleficent carries all the emotions really well. She looks pretty in all her shades – be it angry, emotional or love. Her love for Aurora in the movie has no limits. She could go to any extent to see Aurora happy. Elle Fanning as Princess Aurora has got everything that a Princess we dream of. She did her part so well that makes you forget that Disney Princesses don’t exist.
The story of the movie is smooth and clear. No much drama or nonsense. The Prince’s mother does all the evil things so as to create a war between the humans and the fairies in order to finish off all the fairies. The war happens but luckily the truth comes out and it all ends well.
The best thing about the movie is it keeps making you smiling throughout, except for the war scenes of course. The start, the story, and the climax, everything is in place. All the characters in the movie, including the fairies, will make you feel everything is real.
Joachim Ronning’s direction and Linda Woolverton’s writing is smooth and keeps you glued on your seat throughout.
Overall, this weekend free yourself from the Bollywood drama and watch Maleficent: Mistress Of Evil for something beautiful.
