Glass Onion a Knives Out mystery written and directed by Rian Johnson is a second installment of the whodunnit murder mystery universe. After the success of his first Knives Out mystery, the Academy Award-nominated film-maker takes Detective Benoit Blanc to solve yet another murder mystery to Greece with a cast full of unpredictable characters with layers and secrets of their own – like an onion.
Detective Blanc is portrayed beautifully by the amazingly talented Daniel Craig, famously known as Bond..James Bond! The entire movie is filmed in Greece with an incredible cast including Edward Norton, Janelle Monáe, Kathryn Hahn, Leslie Odam Jr., Jessica Henwick, Madelyn Cline, Kate Hudson and Dave Bautista.
“It was just a delight, because Rian’s casting is always spot on, and you get wonderful people,” says Craig. “We were just so lucky on both movies to have such a dream cast come in, and so funny. And everybody just tuned in to what the tone of the film was.”
Detective Blanc finds himself at a lavish estate on a Greek Island owned by the billionaire Miles Bron where he invites his group of friends for a reunion, the only thing is Detective Blanc was never invited, so who sent him the invite? The plot thickens as a murder takes place at the estate and now everyone is a suspect. Each character adds to the mystery and the story will keep you guessing and on the edge of your seat till the very end.
