Khandaani Shafakhana is about Baby Bedi (Sonakshi Sinha), who has to run a fertility clinic that her uncle has left in name of her. It is all about the obstacles she has to face from society and her family.
Baby Bedi is a salesperson who sells medicines to pharmacies and clinics. She is the daughter of Mrs. Bedi (Nadira Babbar). She has a younger brother Booshit Bedi (Varun Sharma) who does nothing and only wants to get married.
Mamaji (Kulbhushan Kharbanda) runs a fertility clinic, Khandaani Shafakhana. After he dies he names the clinic in Baby Bedi’s name and keeps a condition that she will have to run the clinic for 6 months 9am-5pm. If she wishes to sell the clinic she can do so but only after 6 months.
Baby Bedi who has to repay her other uncle decides to try and run the clinic for money about which only her Bhooshit knows. But she gets nothing but only chillar and ghee. Her sister’s father-in-law sees Baby running the clinic and this thing spreads in the entire society. And then what happens is the main story.
First time Bollywood has made such content. The story, concept is great but the movie is too dragged. It is too slow and will bore you in intervals.
Badshah who made his acting debut as Gabru Ghataak in Khandaani Shafakhana. He has done a good job according to his character. Varun’s comic timing is decent. Priyanshu Jora has not much to offer to the audience. Sonakshi’s acting will win your heart again. Annu Kapoor’s character Mr. Tagri is like a special appearance.
The end of the movie is too filmy. Sheher Ki Ladki was not shown in the movie.
Khandaani Shafakhana would have been much interesting if not stretched too long. There were a lot of unnecessary scenes.
We would like to give Khandaani Shafakhana 2 and a half star.
