Singer Anuv Jain has taken over global charts and social media with his soulful tracks, and is now going global with his tour Dastakhat. The tour started in India and has traveled across Europe and North America, as well as Australia, and this is Jain’ first world tour.

Jain’s tracks first started taking off on social media, as listeners termed him as a ‘breakup’ singer. With songs like ‘Husn’ and ‘Arz Kiya Hai’ going viral not only on social media, but also on Spotify global charts, Jain has cemented himself as a popular singer within Hindi audiences not only in India, but worldwide.

As he’s on his tour, we spoke with Jain about what the tour experience has been like, and some of his memorable moments.

Q: Has there ever been a song you almost didn’t release because it felt too personal?
Almost every song feels like that before releasing it. But I’ve realised those are often the ones people connect with the most.

Q: Why did you choose now for your world tour?
It just felt like the right time. The music had already started reaching people in different parts of the world, so performing it live made sense.

Q: Has performing the same song in different countries changed it for you?
Yes, in small ways. Every audience brings a different energy, so the song starts to feel slightly different each time.

Q: What have you learned about your global audience?
The biggest surprise is how well people know the lyrics everywhere. That’s something I didn’t expect. There are times when I stop, but they continue. It’s a dream that I live.

Q: How do you deal with emotional burnout?
I try to take breaks and step away when needed. It helps me come back to music more honestly.

Q: If you had to perform one song in silence, which would it be?
“Baarishein” or “Arz Kiya hai” feels like that kind of song. It is very personal and quiet in its own way.

Q: Most memorable tour moment?
When the audience sings along louder than me that always stays with me. It feels very special honestly.

The Dastakhat tour ends in Amsterdam in October 2026, and fans are selling out each tour date. Check out tickets at a tour stop near you!
