There has been a lot of buzz in international media since first look launch of International filmmakers. Such as Rahhat Shah Kazmi, Tariq Khan, Mir Sarwar, Swaroopa Ghosh, Rohil Bhatia and famous television actress Helly Shah’s feature film Kaya Palat at Cannes last year.
The directorial of Shoib Nikash Shah (Internal award-winning actor and director, known for his Lihaaf and Mantostaan as an actor). And now opened the door for Indian Cinema in Vietnam as no Indian films are traditionally released in theatres in Vietnam. Whereas the audience in Vietnam admire Indian cinema a lot.
The director seemed happy and excited after the premiere and said,
“There was a huge turnout for all the Indian films showcased in Vietnam including Anupam Kher starred Signature opening the festival with a house full and a standing ovation and so was Avika Gor’s film Popcorn again a houseful and same was with Kaya Palat having immensely positive response and love not only from the audience but also by Chairman of Cinema association of Vietnam and many popular actors and directors loved the film and expressed their happiness and love for the film!
The director of the film Shoib expressed gratitude and thanked the consulate general of India in Veitnam Dr. Madan Mohan Shetty and the curator of Namaste Veitnam Captain Rahul Bali for providing this opportunity for Indian films in Veitnam. And with such a grand celebration and several events happening around maximizing the Indo- Vietnam cross-culture relationship and tourism potential!
Anupam Kher said in 15th August celebration speech at Veitnam that,
“I was a little hesitant to do the world premiere of my film here, but I am happy and I feel it was the best decision to show the film in Namaste Veitnam.
Helly Shah was overwhelmed with the response of audiences after they watched Kaya Palat at the festival she added,
“Kaya Palat is all about Karma and no matter what happens to you in life you cannot justify a crime for revenge of a crime that happened to you”
Kaya Palat was selflessly supported by several producers to make it happen, from Tera Entertainment to International filmmaker Tariq Khan to well-known produce and costume designer Zeba Sajid and Aplhaa productions supported the film!
