On April 7th, the long-awaited track ‘Mera Na‘ (My Name Lives Forever) by Sidhu Moosewala has finally released with the help of Burna Boy and Steel Banglez post-Sidhu Moosewala’s untimely death. In 15 minutes, Mera Na crossed over a million views. Sidhu Moosewala’s legacy has lived on with the release of songs like ‘SYL’, ‘Dark Love,’ ‘Vaar,’ and ‘Mera Na’ which shows how Sidhu Moosewala’s music has influenced artists and producers from all around the industry.
After Sidhu Moosewala’s death, Burna Boy and Steel Bangelz expressed how the song ‘Mera Na’ was in the works before Sidhu Moosewala’s death. Burna Boy was seen crying on stage during one of his shows after Sidhu Moosewala’s death which showed Burna Boy expressing his emotions about his close relationship with Sidhu Moosewala. Both artists were close to one another as they shared snippets of their music back and forth; the creation of ‘Mera Na’ can be seen as a love letter to Sidhu Moosewala’s friendship with Burna Boy and Steel Bangelz.
