Yesterday was National Doctors’ Day. Every year we celebrate this day to honour the birth and death anniversary of the great physician and second chief minister of West Bengal, Dr Bidhan Chandra Roy. This day serves to show gratitude to all those doctors who have selflessly aided us in our time of need and tirelessly worked for the health of their patients.
Paras Chhabra who won many hearts for his stint Bigg Boss 13, shares an interesting incident about his family doctor Mrityunjay Shukla who resides in Delhi. Paras has a very close connection with him and considers him as a family member itself.
Here is what he had to say, “Once I had a bad stomach ache, I called my family doctor Mrityunjay Shukla and told him about my problem and just after listening to my problem he told me on the call itself that I have a kidney stone. Just to have another opinion I went to another doctor and he told me that I have constipation issues, but then eventually I was diagnosed with a kidney stone. So Dr Mrityunjay has been such an amazing doctor to me. He works at a government hospital in Delhi and he is amazing at his work. So I would just thank him for always being so apt about things and being helpful whenever needed”
Paras also has some doctors in his family itself, he shared about how he was worried when his close ones were working day and night during covid times. Sharing the same Paras said, “I was so scared during Covid times, they used to work for Covid patients. I know they were taking care of themselves but I always used to tell them to wear masks and PPE kits. It did worry me but as they were working continuously with the covid patients”
As doctors are our lifesavers and an integral part of our society, Paras conveys his applause to all the doctors. Paras says, “Doctors are indeed lifesavers for us. In these tough times, Doctors are giving their all and trying very hard to save people. I just want to say a big thank you to every doctor out there!”
On the professional front, Paras was seen in a serial Badho Bahu. He has also won MTV reality show Splitsvilla and was the finalist of Bigg Boss 13.
