Indian Fashion Designer Anita Dongre at UK’s leading Aashni + Co Wedding Show 2019
One of India’s leading fashion designers, Anita Dongre, will be among top tier South Asian designers to present their latest bridal collections. At the UK’s leading, South Asian high fashion, bridal and beauty . Aashni + Co Wedding Show, taking place at The Dorchester, Mayfair on Sunday 13th January 2019.
Anita Dongre has been at the forefront of Indian fashion for over 20 years. Craftsmanship at its best and more. Her designs showcase Indian aesthetics for the global woman of today. Her designs have been worn by personalities such as Kate Middleton, Hillary Clinton, Queen Mathilde of Belgium. Similarly her designs are a favourite with Bollywood A-listers such as Priyanka Chopra, Sonam Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor, Anushka Sharma etc.
Furthermore, her latest bridal collection, Odyssey, comprises silks and Benarasi weaves adorned with embroidered motifs. Hence, Inspired by the wildlife of Ranthambore, in the label’s signature craft of gota patti. Along with handcrafted dori, sequin, pearl, zari, zardozi and cut dana work. The colour palette presents a variety of jewel tones such as deep reds, greens, blues, and softer pastel shades. The colours of the vibrant birds and lakes of Ranthambore. The lehengas are classics with varied styles of cholis and contrasting dupattas.

Style council will also be provided during the day through a series of masterclasses with some of the most internationally respected names in styling, makeup artistry, wedding planning and the fashion and beauty blogosphere. The luxe backdrop of The Dorchester will be further transformed through floral styling and production design by Zita Elze, an award-winning artist, designer, teacher, creator of the Living Embroidery Bridal collection and design consultant.
