Satyamev Jayate is set to return in 2019
Satyamev Jayate will be back in 2019. DNA reports a source stating, “Once Aamir finishes the promotions of his Diwali release, Thugs Of Hindostan, he will start focussing on the show. His team has begun the research, but the actor, who covers all aspects of a topic, wants everything to be perfect before it goes on air.”
This time, the superstar will deal with broader topics and those that affect GenNext like depression, unemployment, etc. The show, comprising around 10 episodes, will air sometime in Quarter 1 2019. While Satyamev Jayate will telecast at 11 am every Sunday, talks are still on for a slot for SRK’s show. Ted Talks aired 7pm last year, however, Star Plus wishes to build a slot around knowledge-driven shows.
The show focuses on sensitive social issues prevalent in India. It aims to empower citizens with information about their country and urge them to take action. While the primary language of the show is Hindi, it is simulcast in eight languages such as Bengali, Malayalam, Marathi, Tamil, and Telugu, and subtitled in English, to ensure maximum reach.
Khan’s ‘Thugs of Hindostan’ will see him share the screen with Amitabh Bachchan.
