You know a track is meant to be when a simple coffee leads to a collab! That is exactly the case for the latest track – a remake of the song “Jab Koi Baat Bigad Jaye” from Jurm – by Shweta Subram and Abhay Jodhpurkar. According to Shweta, she was on a vacation in Dubai when “a simple coffee meet with Abhay led to this beautiful collaboration!” After you hear the song, you’ll wish that all coffee meets resulted in such sweet songs being created! Tackling a popular song like Jab Koi Baat is always hard. However, the cover by Shweta and Abhay has a fresh feel to it! The two have managed to make this iconic song their own. The song was originally composed by Rajesh Roshan for the film Jurm, and was sung by Kumar Sanu and Sadhana Sargam. The original version became incredibly popular with audiences. Shweta shared that she and Abhay, “Love[d] the positive message in this song, emphasis on compatibility and getting through hurdles together.” She further added that, “Abhay and I are super thrilled to have come together with this iconic song.” This track is especially unique for Shweta as it is the first time that she has shot a music video in Dubai!
