Phora Drops New Rap Track and Then Hits The Road With G-Eazy!

Critically acclaimed underground Orange County rap sensation PHORA unveils his brand new track “Boss Up” via Warner Bros. Records.

Boss Up is driven by sparse piano chords and cinematic production, PHORA’s unbreakable flow instantly takes center stage. PHORA delivers one catchy and confessional verse after another before serving up the airy and hypnotic refrain. The song immediately claimed a spot on the Top 10 of iTunes Top Hip- Hop/Rap Songs Chart where it’s remained ever since its release.

This marks PHORA’s first new music since the arrival of his sixth full-length and first album for Warner Bros. Records, Yours Truly Forever—which bowed at #1 on the Billboard Top Rap Albums Chart and earned widespread critical-acclaim from Forbes, XXL, and more in 2017.

PHORA (and G-Eazy) are currently blazing across the globe on their sold-out The Beautiful & Damned Tour. Check out the remaining dates below!

Phora finds truth in the grind. Since emerging in 2012, the 22-year-old Anaheim-born and Corona-based rapper, songwriter, and artist has released music at a relentless pace, serving up five independent albums—Still A Kid, One Life To Live, Sincerely Yours, the successfully crowd-funded Angels with Broken Wings, and 2016’s With Love. The latter captured #1 on iTunes Top Hip-Hop/Rap albums chart, going toe-to-toe with A-list heavyweights and coming out victorious. Acclaimed by LA Weekly, DJ Booth, and Power 106, he consistently engages a rabid fan base with confessional and catchy tales of a life so unbelievable they just have to be true. “Fake Smiles” impressively generated over 14.7 million Spotify streams with “I Think I Love You” not far behind at 11.3 million.

Signing to Warner Bros. Records in 2017, PHORA’s honesty continued to cut deep on the chart-topping Yours Truly Forever. In addition to ink from Forbes, Los Angeles Times, and more, his major label debut seized #1 on the Billboard Top Rap Albums chart and lit up Spotify with the single “To the Moon,” which clocked over 12 million streams. “Boss Up” paves the way for his next chapter.

PHORA has bold lyrics, and a unique style. He stands out as his style feels authentic. It’s evident he’s not trying to imitate anyone else in the industry. Considering how tough breaking in to the industry, I think its great hes bringing us raw and unique music.
