EXCLUSIVE: Singer Pinky Maidasani speaks about her journey and future projects

 

Whom do you consider your idol?

I love Whitney Houston and Michael Jackson.

 

Which male and female singer do you look up to in contemporary times?

I really look up to Rekha Bharadwaj and Arijit Singh.

 

How did you learn to sing in different languages? Are you comfortable in all of them? Were you always comfortable or you eventually grew with the learning?

I love doing anything that challenges me. I took it up when it just came my way. So it’s like adding feathers to a cap and I thoroughly enjoyed the process .Moreover I enjoy anything that’s related to music.

 

You have starred in your song’s single. So any plans of acting?

No plans of acting as it’s not my cup of tea. I am good as a singer.

 

What are your future projects?

Many songs are lined and upcoming ones are ‘Ude Jab Jab Zulfein’ releasing by Saregama and ‘Sindh’ music album by Crescendo – it’s a tribute to Sindhism.

I am also working on Haryanvi Bhojpuri songs with some combinations and fusions.
