Drifta Draws On His South Asian Influences For His Dreamy And Eclectic New EP ‘Gal Ban Ja’

Prolific Kent based producer Drifta announces a new EP ‘GAL BAN JA’ which sees him for the first time fully embrace a South Asian rooted sound, instantly setting him apart from his contemporaries and making this his most compelling release to date. The 6 track offering continues to showcase Drifta’s skills on the buttons as one of the UK’s hottest DrumnBass leaning producers.

Melody is always at the heart of his productions and with vocal features on each track there’s something for everyone, from the hauntingly beautiful DnB soundscape of ‘Mahi Ve (Sajana)’ and ‘Fantasy’ to the more playful new single ‘Facebook’, all tracks exemplify a knack of blending catchy melodies with dream-like beats and rhythms.

Amongst his fans at radio include Bobby Friction at BBC Asian Network who recently had Drifta record a special Live Lounge session at the world famous Maida Vale Studios.
