Instructed over a phone call, Chinmayi sang the title track in Chennai, while the music was recorded by Atif Afzal in Mumbai.
Chinmayi Sripada has established herself as one of the most promising young playback singers in Bollywood. Having belted out several hits like Titli, Mast Magan, Tere Bina, Zehnaseeb and Mayya, she recently recorded a song for the upcoming Marathi movie Baaji with music director Atif Afzal.
According to the sources, Chinmayi has a great time recording the title track Majha Baaji with Atif. The hard hitting song is very intense and gives one goosebumps. The music director was instructed that, it is the most important song in the film as it establishes Shreyas Talpade’s character in the movie, so he approached it with zeal. But, the most mind boggling fact remains that, Chinmayi who resides in Chennai, was instructed by the talented composer over a phone call!
Professional that she is, she recorded the song at a studio in Chennai and the music was composed here in Mumbai by Atif.
The song is twice in the movie album. One is the main version and other one is a unplugged one. Atif informed that, working with Chinmayi was an awesome and enriching experience. He even added that, she is one of the best versatile playback singers of India.
Atif Afzal has garnered rave reviews from the critics and audiences alike for his Bollywood movie Prague. But, the prodigy made his debut in the film industry with Pune 52.
