Vasantotsav, also known as Vasant Utsav, is an annual music festival organized by Gokhale Constructions. A solace for all classical Indian music enthusiasts, this year’s event was by far the grandest one to have come to reality which was hosted in New English School, Raman Baug, Pune. One of the most talked about artists, the Indian king of pop Daler Mehndi was also a part of this event.
With widespread roots across the classical genres, Mehndi has been personally trained by a stalwart of the Patiala Gharana of music, Ustad Rahat Fateh Ali Khan. The prolific and multifaceted singer ushered the audience into an aura of pure musical bliss. One of the pioneers of Vasantotsav Rahul Deshpande quoted that he had always longed to see Daler Mehndi perform ever since he was a child. Daler Mehndi, has been on the forefront of Indian music for years! His innate talent and desire to produce music which is unique, has always been praiseworthy.
