Introducing India's newest R&B artist, Thomson Andrews!

Meet a rising star who’s music is so versatile it touches on genre’s from Jazz, Soul, R&B, Motown to Broadway, Sufi and Indian music. It even breaks barriers with the blending of languages like Latin, Tamil, Spanish, French, Turkish and many more. He’s even worked with heavy weights in the industry like A. R. Rahman, Ranjit Barot, Hitesh Sonik, Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, Pritam, Vishal and Shekar, Bappi Lahiri, Salim and Sulaiman and many other reputed artists. Who is this new star? Thomson Andrews!

 

Starting his music career at a young age, Thomson started performing at school and at Church. He was catapulted into the music scene when he won a gospel talent show in 2007 at the age of 19. He then worked in the corporate sector and in schools as a music teacher. Working with the legend A.R. Rahman started Thompson career when he first performed at the IPL award show. Since then Thomson has been working on playback singing, jingles, performing at live shows, putting together vocal arrangements for several music directors and writing his own music!

Currently Thomsom is working on his debut album and he just released his new track “People Ain’t Things.” This music video is currently playing on TV on the channel 9×0 on. Mixtape and will soon be playing on channels MTV INDIES and VH1 too in India. This is India’s first R&B music video! All the best musicians from India have played on this song and it has been mixed and mastered by Grammy Award winning engineers Deepak Palikonda from Mumbai & Reuben Cohen – from Lurssen Mastering – Hollywood, California. Speaking about his new track, Thomson Andrews said,

“The Music video has been conceptualized keeping in mind International audiences too as that is my goal. I’d love to maximize the potential of this song Globally and be the first & only INDIAN R&B Artist crossing over to the Music Industry there and some day to the Grammy’s too.”
