Glenfiddich And Aston Martin Formula One Team Unveil Two Limited Edition Single Malts

TORONTO, ON: Marking the second year of partnership, Glenfiddich and Aston Martin Formula One™ Team unveil two limited-edition single malts: the Glenfiddich & Aston Martin Formula One Team 16-Year-Old Limited-Edition Release No.2 and the Glenfiddich & Aston Martin Formula One Team 19-Year-Old Limited-Edition Release No.2. Inspired by Glenfiddich Malt Master, Brian Kinsman and Aston Martin Formula One™ Team Managing Technical Partner, Adrian Newey, the releases are shaped by a shared belief that exceptional performance is defined not only by what can be seen, but by the invisible detail working beneath the surface.

Brian Kinsman designs a whisky that will not be ready for years; Adrian Newey shapes airflow around a car that does not yet exist. Different crafts, different materials, yet the same mindset: an instinct for what lies ahead, and a discipline built on precision, curiosity and foresight. It is this shared pursuit that sits at the heart of the collaboration – two brands committed to going beyond the expected through mastery of the unseen.

As the world’s most awarded single malt Scotch whisky, famed for introducing single malt to the world beyond Scotland in 1961, Glenfiddich shaped the future of the category. From its own water source, the Robbie Dhu, to the unrivalled reserves, it’s the invisible details, repeated over time, that create something extraordinary.

These two limited-edition single malts celebrate the invisible craft, meticulous refinement and human endeavour at the heart of Glenfiddich. From Brian Kinsman’s ability to select, balance, and marry whiskies from Glenfiddich’s unrivalled reserve, to the generations of expertise behind every stage of maturation, these releases are shaped by the unseen craft that transforms patience into character. The result is a pair of whiskies that capture Glenfiddich’s enduring drive to go beyond.

Each of the releases is shaped by Glenfiddich’s distinctive character, while the innovative nature of the global partnership has allowed Brian Kinsman to play with bolder, more intense flavours that deliver depth and distinction.

“What I find most compelling about Adrian’s work is that the defining performance often comes from what you cannot immediately see. That is something I recognize in whisky-making,” comments Brian Kinsman, Glenfiddich Malt Master. “The character of a single malt is shaped by countless precise decisions over time – cask selection, balance, maturation, timing – each one subtle on its own, but transformative when brought together. With these releases, I wanted to capture that same sense of unseen craftsmanship and create whiskies that feel layered, balanced and unmistakably built to go beyond expectation.”

Glenfiddich & Aston Martin Formula One™ Team 16-Year-Old Limited-Edition Release No.2

The limited-edition 16-Year-Old single malt is built through a precise maturation across five cask types, creating a whisky defined by layered flavour, balance and flow. Mirroring Adrian Newey’s philosophy of performance design – where every unseen element contributes to the whole – each stage of maturation is carefully composed to build depth and harmony. The result is a whisky that moves seamlessly from one layer to the next, revealing Glenfiddich’s unmistakable character in every sip.

Bringing together Glenfiddich’s signature fruit-led style with the influence of first-fill bourbon barrels, Port pipes, Oloroso sherry casks, wine casks and a final touch of Fino sherry butts, the whisky unfolds with controlled progression and complexity. Sweetness, richness and structure are carefully layered, allowing each cask to add its own character while remaining in complete balance. The result is a refined and assured single malt, where silken texture, orchard fruit, and elegant oak flow together in perfect harmony.

Glenfiddich & Aston Martin Formula One™ Team 19-Year-Old Limited-Edition Release No.2

This Global Travel Retail exclusive is built around a vibrant marriage of Colombian, European and American oak cask finishes, creating a layered whisky defined by diversity and balance. Inspired by Adrian Newey’s philosophy of airflow design, elements are often unseen, yet fundamental to performance, the whisky is crafted to reveal how invisible details can shape exceptional character.

“The Colombian oak provides a distinctive point of intrigue,” comments Jamie Johnson, Canadian National Brand Ambassador for Glenfiddich. “It brings brightness and lift to the whisky’s rich, structured profile, creating a single malt with notes of sherbet, baked apple, and soft cinnamon. It’s an expression that is both vibrant and unmistakably Glenfiddich.”

Glenfiddich, the world’s most awarded single malt Scotch whisky, announced a multi-year partnership with Aston Martin Formula One™ Team in November 2024 – bringing together two iconic brands renowned for their heritage, innovation, and relentless pursuit of excellence.

The Glenfiddich & Aston Martin Formula One Team 16-Year-Old Limited-Edition Release No.2 will be available at local liquor stores in select Canadian provinces this autumn. Please contact your local retailer for specific availability.

The Glenfiddich & Aston Martin Formula One Team 19-Year-Old Limited-Edition Release No.2 will be available exclusively in select Global Travel Retail locations.
