Visualize deep blue skies. Imagine sunkissed sidewalks. Think of the beautiful regions of Italy, particularly Tuscany, which is the country’s heartland.
This is the theme of the new “Tuscan Summer” collection by designer Seema Gujral. Lehengas with intricate detailing that is lightweight and simple to drape for a destination wedding on the beach or in Tuscany.
Hence, the fully summery color scheme combines light and bright hues with pastels like powder blue, peach, pink, neutral, and champagne. All featured fuss-free, modern blouses and bridal-flattering designs. Gujral’s designs concentrate upon imaginative ensembles that showcase the beauty of the nation’s traditional crafts in an effort to revolutionize Indian couture.
Each garment features beautifully embroidered accents made of pearls, stones, sequins, mirror work, and thread work. These decorations are all employed in a distinctly modern manner.
This summer is particularly noteworthy for the brand because it also sees its premium line debut for men. This collection includes calming pastels in rich silks with graceful floral designs and delicate pearl embroidery in shades of sage green, sky blue, and baby pink. Each piece is a celebration of men’s fashion and the pure joy of special events, featuring outstanding coordination with kurtas and brocade pants, dhotis, Indo-Western open jackets, and distinctive additions of Afghani salwars and patialas.
As the name suggests, this collection has been inspired by the Tuscan countryside, especially its springtime hues, with a mix of bright and light shades, says Gujral. “We are ecstatic to introduce menswear to our repertoire, with the USP of which is stylized, intricate embroidery and attention to detail,” she adds.
The collection is offered at the designer’s Noida studio and online at SeemaGujral.com, with worldwide shipping. Additionally, in Hyderabad, at Aza, Ensemble, Ogaan, Pernia’s Pop Up Shop, and Origins.
