Mahima Mahajan brought a free-spirited collection of stunning ensembles to Lakmé Fashion Week in partnership with FDCI.
Mahima’s repertoire of fashion designing has always been as vast as her creativity. She has dreamt up collections for men and women as well as designed accessories that are coveted by not only celebrities but also, Bollywood stars. From wedding trousseau options to Ramadan edits, her looks are always on the bestseller list.
For the coming season, Mahima’s “Ruža” collection was an ode to women who are not only free spirited but young, daring, bold and adventurous enough to claim their rights. There was a vibrant abundance of colours this season with silhouettes that evolved but were visions of delicate femininity. The impressive and exciting fashion collision of stunning prints was evident as they clashed perfectly, when floral and geometrics came together head on, to present a winning formula of glamour.
For the “Ruža” look Mahima merged the beauty and inspiration of the past, present, and future to showcase a style essence that was varied but elegant.
Juhi Godambe, popular influencer opened the show in a glittering panelled lehenga, tiny choli and dupatta trio to set the mood of the show.
Silhouettes moved smoothly from enhanced volumes and then onto feminine fluidity as well as some cleverly structured shapes. Colours that exploded on the ramp started with the striking candy pink, then moved onto invigorating sunset yellow and finally settled on demure blush.
Men’s wear offered an embroidered trench with cords while a printed shirt was easy on the eye. Women’s wear revolved around lehenga, choli, dupatta trios as well as comfortable jackets over bralettes.
Looking lovely in a colourful, printed, mustard, full-flared lehenga, matching bralette and swirling dupatta, Nushrratt Bharuccha brought the Mahima Mahajan show to a glamorous end.
Nushrratt Bharuccha added,” I had an absolutely great time walking the ramp at Lakmé Fashion Week X FDCI. I hope I did justice to this wonderful outfit from Mahima’s collection. The whole collection is great. I loved the prints, the glitter, the drama. It’s sexy. It’s confident. It’s Indian. It’s fun. It’s wild and it’s me.”
The “Ruža” collection by Mahima Mahajan was all about timeless glamour that will be desired by a wide cross section of stylish buyers.

With Ruža, we’ve passionately blended our past, present & future & instinctively ventured into the definition of our essence. This collection is whole-heartedly the core of Mahima Mahajan, with the delirious pattern-clash of floral & geometric prints; the play on extravagant volumes and silhouettes; the feminine fluidity colliding with structured silhouettes, the burst of colour with candy pink, sunset yellow & blush – it’s all us! An interesting juxtaposition to our modern prints & silhouettes this season are ‘shabds’ from our very own Gulzar sahab, Mir & Bashir Badr.”
