Lakme Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2017 concluded this Sunday. Over the course of the 5 days long fashion week, we saw a number of designers bring great and surreal collections to the ramp. A number of these designers had Bollywood celebs walk the ramp for them. While most left us spellbound, here are the Top 5 show that are pretty high for me:
Dia Mirza – Faabiiana
The ethreal, Dia Mirza was the show stopper for Kusum and Karishma Luharuwal’s label Faabiiana’s Desert Rose. Dia left the audience in awe as she ramp walked in a beautifully embroidered deep ‘V’ neck, floor-length Chikankari jacket and ghaghra which had perfect Gota work.
The grace, glamour and charm she showed on the ramp took our breath away.
Sunny Leone – Splash Fashion
Sunny Leone along with Randeep Hooda walked for Splash Fashion on the final day of the fashion week. In a glittering mermaid style gown and contrasting tomato red nail paint, Sunny stole the show. Very basic makeup and hair work were a plus for her.
Not an inch of skin visible but, Sunny yet managed to be the Goddess of sexiness soaring the temperature even higher.
Aditi Rao Hydari – Jayanti Reddy
Aditi Rao Hydari looked like a Byzantine princess in Jayanti Reddy’s creation. Her ensemble consisted pf a black full-flared lehenga, maxi Anarkali style jacket, soft gold bandeau blouse and dupatta – all embroidered in golden hues.
With her royal heritage – if you didn’t know she is born into two royal royal families the Rao and Hydari – she carried this regal look to the T.
Elli AvrRam – Manoj Agarrwal
Elli AvrRam walked the ramp for bridal wear designer, Manoj Agarrwal, who composed an iconic collection that was authentic and rich in heritage. She looked like a timeless bride in her all-red, embroidered, lehenga with a long embellished trail and well draped dupatta.
Elli, seriously had us all bewitched with the grace and charm she exhibited as the show stopper for the bridal range.
Vidyut Jammwal – Asa Kazingmei
Vidyut Jammwal walked the ramp in true blue fashion for Asa Kazingmei’s presention of fearless, fantasy and fashion at Johnnie Walker – The Journey show on Day 4. Decked in a leather /denim jacket, multi pocket pant with zippered detailing and vest proved that he was all ready to fight it out.
We got to say, he pulled off the look with ease and the swords on his back just added to his perfect warrior like demeanour.
The one who shone the brightest among these stars for me was none other than that Aditi Rao Hydari. The charm and poise with which she carried this regal looks just proves that Jayanti Reddy made the right choice in making her the show stopper.
