Hermès launches a collection of luxury saris in India

The rich colors of India have always served as an inspiration for the famous Hermès scarves. But now, the French luxury brand has launched a limited addition collection of saris in India. This is the second limited edition sari collection from Hermès. The first one was in 2000, when they launched the Millennium collection. In total, 28 are saris being sold, with one line priced at about 300,000 rupes ($6,120) and the other at 400,000 rupees ($8,158). Pricey? Yes. But I would be lying to you if I said that I didn’t want to get my hands on one very badly.

This launch comes a few months after Hermès unveiled their Mumbai store, which now has two flagships: one in New Delhi and one in Pune. The collection will only be available in the Mumbai store.

Saris are an essential staple in any desi woman’s wardrobe and this news could not have come at a better time, with Indian wedding season in full swing! Check out some pictures of the latest Hermès sari collection, below.
