After the release of the emotional ‘Saawan”, Rita is back with Like The Sunshine, an Electronic Fusion D&B track produced by and featuring Shri Gadhvi and A Guy Called Mem.

Like The Sunshine is an upbeat vibrant fusion of drum & bass and reggae sounds seamlessly folding together the eastern and western influence. With Shri on Tabla and production alongside Mem on the guitar blending in with Rita’s melody, lyrics and ethereal voice, Like The Sunshine creates a global anthem that celebrates culture, connection and contemporary sounds.

Rita explains:

Rita Morar is a captivating singer-songwriter whose musical journey is a fusion of cultural influences and personal expression. Born and raised in London, UK, Rita’s upbringing immersed her in both Western and Eastern musical traditions. Drawing inspiration from her heritage, she seamlessly blends elements of Indian classical, folk, and contemporary styles into her music.

As an established artist and Hindustani Vocal Student of Tauseef Akhtar, Rita is a natural live performer. Singing in her fusion of Hindi and English, she has performed at over a thousand plus live events, including some of the UK’s most prestigious and leading music platforms from Glastonbury, The Royal Festival Hall, Jazz Café to BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge. Rita has been supported with her music and played across Radio and TV including BBC Radio 1, BBC 1xtra, BBC Asian Network, Zee TV & Sunrise Radio.

Beyond her musical endeavours, Rita is also an advocate for cultural diversity and empowerment through her online platform #MusicHeals, using her platform to raise awareness about music and promote inclusivity within the arts.

As Rita Morar continues to evolve as an artist, her talent serves as a testament to her dedication, creativity, and unwavering commitment to making meaningful music that transcends borders and connects people from all walks of life.

Born in North London, Shri’s admiration for musical rhythms sprung at an early age of 2 naturally, when his inquisition led him to play the TABLA. He was learning from The late Shri “Pandit Sharda Sharda” at the age of 5. His skill for this instrument has not gone without merit and has been constantly acknowledged and admired for his expertise. At the age of 7 he also picked up another instrument called the DHOL and began to do performances around the UK.

From the age of 16, Shri has been travelling the world with concerts and performances in France, Spain, Portugal, Switzerland, Sweden, Norway, India, Dubai, Thailand, Bali + many more. Shri has also performed at many prestigious and well-known venues such as The Royal Albert Hall, Wembley Arena, Berklee College of Music, the Commonwealth Games, BBC broadcasting house, The Troxy and many more.

Shri has made a name for himself in the world as a remarkable and gifted producer/percussionist and has been passing down his knowledge to music students since 2013 when he launched London School of Tabla. It is without a doubt we can expect unique and vibrant compilations from this upcoming talent.
