The Telangana Gaddar Film Awards 2026 ceremony, held on March 19, 2026, at the HITEX Convention Centre in Hyderabad on the occasion of Ugadi, brought together the biggest names in Telugu cinema under one roof to celebrate excellence in the industry.
Among the night’s most electrifying highlights however, was a performance by PAN-India music sensation Rockstar DSP, who had the audience on their feet with his trademark energy.
In a moment that has since taken the internet by storm, the composer extraordinaire reached out to none other than Rashmika Mandanna, who also won the Best Actress award that evening, leading her to the dance floor to share a spontaneous, joyful dance with him.
Dressed in an elegant cream saree and radiant with gold jewellery, Rashmika matched DSP’s infectious enthusiasm beat for beat, creating a frame that fans are calling pure gold.
But the Rockstar wasn’t done spreading the joy. In an equally heartwarming moment that followed, DSP also successfully encouraged producer Dil Raju, who serves as the chairman of the Telangana Film Development Corporation as well to shake a leg.
The sight of the veteran producer cutting loose with the composer, clearly overwhelmed with delight, had the entire audience in cheers. It was a rare, unscripted slice of camaraderie that reminded everyone why these evenings are not just about winning trophies and accolades, but also offer glimpses of the bonds that hold the film fraternity together.

The fun-filled evening comes at an especially exciting time for DSP, who is currently riding high on the success of his music for the much-awaited Pawan Kalyan starrer Ustaad Bhagat Singh, which released on March 19. After years of working behind the scenes as a composer, he is now set to step into the spotlight as the lead actor in Yellamma, produced by Dil Raju and directed by Balagam helmer Venu Yeldandi. a rooted, rustic Telangana drama that is tailor-made for his sensibilities.
With regular shoot expected to commence in April, DSP has already begun the necessary preps. From commanding stages as a composer to conquering them as a performer, and very soon, as an actor, Rockstar DSP is clearly writing the most exciting chapter of his career yet.
