As there’s only one week left for the Bigg Boss 18 season, the tensions within the house and within fanbases are higher than ever, and yesterday’s ‘Weekend Ka Vaar’ episode has brought anger towards the show’s production team and makers.
Throughout the season, audiences have been saying that as Bigg Boss labeled contestant Vivian Dsena as his ‘ladla’, makers have skewed in favor of taking Dsena to the finale, and their views were solidified during yesterday’s episode. This week was the Ticket to Finale task, and the two final contenders were Dsena and Chum Darang. During the task, Dsena aggressively dragged Durang across the floor in order to try and win. As contestants Karanveer Mehra, Shilpa Shirodkar, and Shrutika Arjun showed outrage at his behavior, Bigg Boss offered the ticket to both Dsena and Durang, and both of them refused to accept it.
During yesterday’s WKV episode, host Salman Khan criticized Darang for playing the “woman card” during the task, and said that she could avoided being hurt by Dsena’s actions. He also bashed Mehra for playing the task for Darang, saying that Mehra is overconfident that he will reach the finale based on fan votes. However, viewers are taking to social media to show their disagreement with Khan’s judgement, and argue that this is a narrative being set by the makers of the show.
Netizens are calling the makers ‘flippers’ and state that their script isn’t working on them, as they believe that the makers are trying to take certain contestants to the finale over others, and are trying any way possible to evict fan-favorite contestants, such as Chahat Pandey and Shrutika Arjun.
Although Bigg Boss has himself said that he is biased before, host Salman Khan and the makers have never been as criticized by the audiences, which can also be seen in the lower TRP this season.
